Research Lodge
Of Amity No. 9073 EC
RLoA 9073

A Research lodge is a particular type of lodge which is devoted to Masonic research. It is a lodge, and as such, has a charter from the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), under the District Grand Lodge of Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean (DGLBEC).

The Research Lodge of Amity No. 9073 E.C. (RLoA) was consecrated on April 29, 1983. It has a particular focus on Masonic research and possesses some of the most laudable aims in Craft masonry. It seeks to provide a centre and bond of union for masonic students and brethren of literary tastes, by demonstrating old craft rituals and presenting papers on history, antiques, jurisprudence, and the symbols of Freemasonry.

While it can, the RLoA does not confer degrees, and typically restricts membership to Master Masons from jurisdictions in amity with UGLE.
